About this rank
Dui Kwan, the short staff form, is the first weapon form in the Eagle Claw curriculum. It takes the weapon motions learned at purple sash and puts them into a full set, teaching short weapon techniques: strikes, blocks, and spins with both hands on the staff.
At Shadow Fist, the form is taught step by step in class under your instructor's guidance, then refined at home with the training videos below. This rank also begins the complex locks: the first 10 of 108, trained with a partner. Consistent practice between classes is what makes the material stick.
