Seven stripes is the final rank before the Sifu test. There are no new training videos here: the work is preparation, bringing every black sash form, all fifty rows of Lin Kuen, and all complex locks 1-70 up to test standard.
At Shadow Fist this preparation happens in class under your instructor’s guidance. Run your forms and locks regularly between classes, and expect corrections: the point of the rank is to arrive at the test with nothing left to fix.

There are no training videos for this rank. Seven stripes is the rank where you prepare for the Sifu test, working in class with your instructor on everything you have learned.
What the test covers
- All black sash forms, performed without a single error.
- All 50 rows of Lin Kuen, the mother form.
- All complex locks 1-70 of the 108 chin na.
- The seven Eagle Claw principles, applied in the material.
Everything has to be clean: no forgotten rows, no corrected locks, no restarts. Bring your questions to class well before the test so there is time to fix them.
