Eagle Claw Kung Fu training at Shadow Fist

Advanced Form

Seung PeiDouble Daggers

A double dagger form in the Eagle Claw curriculum. Seung Pei, Seung Pai in Cantonese, puts a short blade in each hand and trains the close-range work that goes with them: tight circles, quick changes, and footwork that keeps you moving.

About the form

Seung Pei, also spelled Seung Pei Sau, is a traditional double daggers form in the Ying Jow Pai Eagle Claw Kung Fu system, built around a pair of short weapons. Short blades mean close distance, so the set trains fast hand changes, tight circular cuts, and the footwork needed to stay mobile while both hands are working. Training it sharpens coordination, wrist control, and the ability to keep a weapon set flowing without a pause.

At Shadow Fist, Seung Pei is taught step by step in class under your instructor’s guidance, then refined at home with the training video below. It also runs as part of our Sifu Seminar Series, an eight-week course where daggers are included with registration and no previous experience is needed. Practice builds the coordination and blade control that carry into the rest of the weapon curriculum.

  • Focus: Close-range double-blade control and fast hand changes
  • Type: Two-weapon form (double daggers)
  • Style: Eagle Claw Kung Fu, Ying Jow Pai
  • Taught: In class, with a video for home practice
