About this rank
Kung Lek Kuen, the Power Fist or Fist of Skill and Power, is a foundational beginner form in the Ying Jow Pai Eagle Claw lineage and the focus of the orange sash rank. Every beginner learns it to build structural competence: it takes the stances, punches, and footwork from white sash and puts them into a full empty-hand set, with strikes driven from the ground up rather than from the arms.
At Shadow Fist, the form is taught step by step in class under your instructor's guidance, then refined at home with the training video below. Practice the whole set slowly for structure and power, then at speed once the shape holds.
